Kadokado Games

Once you have started with kadokado, you will need to decide which kadokado games you are most interested in.  I strongly suggest that you do not buy any diamonds right away or purchase any of the extra games until you get used to the system.

Kadokado games are divided into two categories, puzzle and action, though the lines between the categories are often blurred significantly.  You will have 5 free game plays everyday, and these are enough to let  you get familiar with how the games work.  Also, the first time you play a game it doesn't cost you any diamonds so go ahead and try them out.

Kadokado is set up in an arcade style, which means that the games are designed to be played quickly, getting more difficult very fast.  This encourages you to spend more diamonds in order to get more plays.  If you have an addictive personality then you may find yourself dumping more and more diamonds into the games, which is fine if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive source of entertainment.

Kadokado Rewards

One of the exciting things about kadokado games is the rewards system.  Just by playing the games you will automatically earn kadokado points.  These points can be spent to buy rewards, some of which are pretty cool.  Others are rather mundane.

The kadokado reward that allows you to post in the forums, for example isn't all that great, but the ability to "buy" new games is pretty cool.  Not all of the games are enjoyable for everyone, so you get to choose the games that you like the most.

Other things you can buy include an amazon gift card, and the ability to join or start a clan.  The gift cards are, of course pretty cool though they are very expensive.  I have personally verified that the gift cards are real and do in fact work just fine through amazon.

Kadokado Atlanteine

The kadokado game Atlanteine is another game whose purpose is hard to guess at first.  However, once you play it you will find that it isn't so complicated.  The idea is to get the little pumpkin into the hole as quickly as possible.  You score points based on how quickly you are able to solve each puzzle.

When you play Atlanteine, here are some tips:
  • Follow the only route first - most of the time there will be only one way you can go, especially on the lower levels.
  • You can only move 1 crate, so choose wisely.
  • When in doubt, move the crate if you have to.  The points are based on speed, so solve the puzzle quickly even if you think you could solve it another way without moving a crate.
  • Watch out for ghosts!  They will kill you and you lose time!

kadokado Kaskade 2

Kaskade 2 is in the puzzle games section of kadokado.  It is a true strategy game in the sense that there is no time limit and you are completely in charge of each move that you make.  The object of the game is to clear large patches of the same color (red, green, or blue), which will then be replaced by random blocks.  Kaskade 2 is one of my favorite kadokado games, and it is free.

In order to clear a patch there must be at least two blocks touching each other.

Now, if you want to get a high score you must create HUGE patches of the same color by eliminating smaller patches to bring the big chunks together.  Even adding one or two blocks to a patch improves your score tremendously.  If possible you want to get every single block of a one color linked together so that when you click it you eliminate all of the blocks of that color.  This also increases your chance of getting a lot of blocks of another color to come in together.

Kadokado Getting Started

Getting started with kadokado is super simple and easy.  Just create an account and then choose the kinds of games that you like to play.  There are two broad categories of games that you can choose from, action and puzzle.  Really the style of games blur the lines because some of the action style games play more like puzzle games and vice versa.  But there is guaranteed to be a game that you like on kadokado.

What about cost?  If you want to rack up the kadokado points then yes, you will have to pay money to get more diamonds, but there is no real need to do that if you only plan to play once in a while.  kadokado gives you 5 free diamonds everyday that you can use to play any games of your choice and by doing this you should be able to get 1000 or so points every week for free which will let you unlock new games.

Kadokado Flushee

Kadokado's Flushee game is difficult to master, but is pretty fun to play.  It is in the kadokado puzzle games section and involves big lines of monsters that have to be grouped into sets of four or more to be eliminated.  As monsters are eliminated the line drops and new monsters drop in from the top of the screen.  Flushee is a free game on kadokado so you don't have to earn any points to buy it.

Part of the frustration with Flushee is that you can't control getting the powerups, and you only have 10 shots.  The powerups in Flushee are super important.  The apple is worth 1000 points and the spiral is worth 5000 points, which means that if you are lucky enough to get a spiral your score is going to be super high.  In order to maximize your chances of benefitting from the apples, you should try to eliminate columns of monsters on the edges, that when when the apple falls it will be on an edge where you can easily knock it off the side and get your points.

Creating large chains is also very beneficial but it is difficult to set up because you don't know what is going to drop in from the top.
